Philip Azordegan, MD
Dr. Azordegan's father, who is a neurosurgeon, had a big influence on him. His father would come home and talk about interesting cases, and Dr. Azordegan was fascinated by the diagnoses and treatments that were available to him in neurosurgery. Dr. Azordegan has been practicing neurosurgery for almost 25 years. Even though his practice is mainly spine and peripheral nerve now, he still enjoys doing cranial surgery.
Dr. Azordegan was born and raised in Jackson and born in the
University Hospital. He left Mississippi to do his medical school training
at Johns Hopkins University and an internship and residency in the
Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas where he also rotated
through MD Anderson Cancer Center.
