About
Although Dr. Collipp was born in Seattle, Washington, he was raised mostly on Long Island, New York. He entered the US Army straight out of high school, and after receiving an honorable discharge for his service, he transitioned back to civilian life, working his way through college and then medical school.
Dr. Collipp attended residency in Buffalo, New York, after which he moved to Tupelo, Mississippi, and two years later he relocated to Jackson. He has been working with the same physical medicine and rehabilitation partners since moving to Jackson in 1997, and when NewSouth NeuroSpine was formed in 2008, he was one of the original members.
Dr. Collipp’s clinical interests and areas of practice include non-surgical management of muscular and skeletal injuries, sports injuries, and peripheral nerve conditions; and, he uses therapies (physical, occupational, and speech), medications, Botox, ultrasound-guided steroid injections, and trigger point injections among others as treatment options. He employs electrodiagnosis (EMG) for the evaluation of nerve injuries. Dr. Collipp enjoys spending time with his wife, Suzanne, and two daughters, Lydia and Leah as well as running, hunting, and martial arts.
